Moonlight Ballroom Canton, Ohio


The former Moose Lodge hall in Canton, Ohio was showing some age and needed a fresh start. Greg Triner owns Tim Tavern, a local landmark famous for its fish and located directly across the street. Greg and his partners saw the potential of the building as a multi-purpose party and banquet hall.
They acquired the building and made a plan to renovate the facility, including a significant budget for replacement of the built-up roof system. Greg asked Buxton Roofing to inspect the leaky roof and make recommendations, fully expecting the worst. We were glad to report that with proper repairs and maintenance, the existing roof could provide at least 5-8 years of service life before replacement would be necessary.
The deteriorated flashings were replaced, obsolete projections removed and the entire roof area thoroughly inspected and repaired. Finally a fibrated aluminum roof coating was applied to protect the repaired roof and provide a reflective surface. All completed at a fraction of the cost of a new roof, allowing funds to be re-allocated to other much needed areas of the building.
